DIY newbie here. I've been trying more and more DIY stuff, so I figured I'd tackle the blend door / actuator issue. It was surprisingly easy and I thought I'd lay it out in some pics in case anyone else with this issue wanted to try it themselves. Found the part for $46. Dealer/mechanic might want $250-300 for the repair.Oct 2, 2010 · Tighten with the thumb ratchet. Don't over tighten. Don't plug the harness yet. Place the first ("W") actuator back in place. "Hand start" the two screws and tighten with the thumb ratchet. Don't over tighten. NOW...you can plug both harnesses back in. Start the car and let it get to know the new actuator. If you look below at pic 1, I highlighted the actuator and the arrow I highlighted indicates the front of the vehicle. The remaining pics are the directions for removal and replacement.
