Project Overview. Pinellas County completed a corridor study for East Lake Road, from south of Curlew Road to north of Trinity Boulevard in Fall 2022. The study examined existing conditions of the corridor, evaluated needs and deficiencies of the roadway, and developed alternatives for improvements to capacity, traffic flow and safety.

The Pinellas Trail also will play a key role in far more ambitious regional trail plans. The Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail is a 250-mile cycling trail that will run from St. Petersburg, using portions of the Pinellas Trail, to Titusville, on Florida’s Atlantic Ocean coast. It is currently about 80 percent complete. Organizations can adopt a mile of the Pinellas Trail if they can provide volunteers to perform cleanup projects every other month. The Adopt-A-Mile program keeps the trail clean while offering the organization an opportunity to have their work highlighted.
